“APRIS” Italy-Switzerland Apprenticeship

“APRIS” Italy-Switzerland Apprenticeship

The main aim of the "APRIS" Interreg Italy - Switzerland project is to contribute to the shared development of training models for the transition to employment, in particular apprenticeships, which help to improve the skills of cross-border workers in relation to professional roles of shared interest.
Specifically, the Apris project intends to reinforce training methods for apprenticeships with the aim of developing skills within a business in response to specific needs of the labour market shared by the regions concerned. The goal is to further qualify the apprenticeship experience and improve cross-border mobility.
The project aims to create a system for the transfer of knowledge related to the management of training within a business, within the scope of apprenticeship routes. In fact, based on the indications contained in the TU, as well as experiences acquired in this sense in the areas involved in the project, it is clear that a fruitful and structured in-company training programme is an important factor in promoting the professional growth of apprentices and their effective integration into the labour market. Sharing good practices is the first element in experimentation, because it makes it possible to identify shared skills and methods in all of the areas involved in the project and to develop a unique and innovative model to support the management of in-company training. Together with identification of the professional sectors/roles to be involved, preliminary sharing of methods and practices is an objective in itself, but is also an essential condition for subsequent experimentation of the model through direct involvement of those in apprenticeships, in order to verify its effective functionality and whether it meets the needs of those involved (most importantly, the young workers and businesses). To achieve the project's objectives, comparison with a project already successfully developed in the Ticino area will be of primary importance as it can provide considerable insight for the regulatory and design adaptation processes taking place on the Italian side, with particular reference to apprenticeships linked to a vocational qualification and diploma (pursuant to Article 3 of the TU).

Action

  1. Comparative analysis of Italian national, regional and Swiss regulations on the subject of apprenticeships for vocational qualifications and diplomas, as well as the relative contracts and experiences completed, to identify good practices and improvement factors; Identification of professional sectors/roles within the context of which to experiment the methodological support model for businesses with regard to the organisation and management of in-company training;
  2. Definition of the methodological support model for businesses and devices that can be used to transfer methods and teaching tools to the businesses;
  3. Trainer training (front + FAD) including exchanges between trainers from the various areas
  4. Testing the model defined with a sample group of apprentices employed in businesses operating in the sectors and/or pertinent to the professional roles identified previously;
  5. Communication and dissemination activities;
  6. Coordination and management activities;
